We are your Home Garden Seed Association, a non-profit organization of seed packet industry leaders. We are involved in trialing, testing, and packaging seeds, keeping up with seed-related policies and research, and marketing seed packets for home gardeners.  

We believe that seeds are vital to the future of American home gardening, and we are here to assure seed quality, health, and variety. Most importantly, we want to help every gardener achieve good results!

Our members travel from around the globe to our semi-annual meetings to compare notes and analyze trials of select seed varieties. We discuss the latest challenges growers face, such as changing consumer trends, increasing transport costs, new regulations, and prevention of diseases that impact yields.

The 100 plus articles in the Home Gardeners section of our website are categorized by topic, and free for you to use. All we ask is that you credit the Home Garden Seed Association.

2. We can provide expertise

3. Our members provide quality vegetable and flower seeds, as well as unique seed-related products, such as personalized seed packets, microgreens growing kits, garden planners, and more. Not all seed on the market is tested for good germination, purity, and vigor. You can count on HGSA for good seed quality, because our reputations depend on your good results!
